I went into the Los Angeles Arboretum with some time to walk around and find some good places to shoot before Brenda and Devell arrived. I was greeted by a gorgeous peacock strutting around with his feathers completely opened! I knew it was going to be a great day. Haha but really, I was beyond excited have some time to hang out with Brenda again. Brenda and I instantly clicked as we chatted that day at Starbucks, and immediately knew this was going to be a good fit. When they showed up to the Arboretum for their engagement photos, we picked up as if we hadn’t missed a beat. Dressed in beautiful light pink and blue and cream, they were glowing with excitement for the big day.
As Devell was getting ready to graduate college, his mom reached out to Brenda to begin planning his graduation party. Because she was in New Jersey, she asked Brenda to help find the venue where they would surprise him and celebrate his accomplishments. Brenda went out and found a beautiful restaurant and the planning began. Little did she know that he was actually going to be surprising her with the most important question she could be asked!
Brenda walked in to the surprise party. The one that she had planned for her boyfriend. As she walked in, all of her family was lined up to hand her a single rose from each person. Her best friend sat her down, and she watched as Devell and his friends walked out on the platform that stood before her.
They danced an entirely choreographed set and Devell asked Brenda to spend the rest of her life with him.
Brenda and Devell, I really enjoyed our time together. The way you were up for walking around the entire Arboretum (in amazingly tall heels, no less!!), our conversations, and getting to know you better was so much fun. I can’t wait for your wedding day in just a couple months! Thank you for choosing me to be a part of such a special moment in your lives!
