Dressed in white, she sat there on the wooden bench in the center of a trendy little plaza. Gazing into his eyes as the wind blew gently through her hair. But more than that, she was getting a glimpse into his heart, into the way he feels about her. As the sun began to set, she giggled, “You’re gonna make me cry!” The way he looked at her was genuine and honest, purely in love, and content. His eyes seemed to say “I choose you today the same way I did the day we got married. I love you more today than I did yesterday. I’m going to keep choosing to love you every day for forever.” This moment is what I live for. The moment where couples get to fall in love all over again throughout the session. The moment where our guy melts at the sight of his beautiful bride. The moment that seems to make time stop for them alone and I get to be there with a camera to make sure they never forget it.
Mariel and Storm contacted me with the idea of bringing out their wedding attire and dressing up in it for their anniversary session. I fell in love with the idea and we began to plan the day. Storm is not a fan of parks or nature, so we decided to shoot in the heart of the city, one of my favorite places to be. They were so sweet and totally flexible on our location, and we ended up shooting at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
And y’all, it was perfect. Her makeup by Makeup by Treenz, her flower crown by The Crown Collective, and her dress by Dreamers and Lovers all came together beautifully, surrounded by the backdrop of the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Mariel and Storm, thank you for trusting me to help you keep these memories for the rest of your lives. Adventuring around the city and shooting at my favorite place were just an added bonus to the excitement that you two shared in being able to recreate the memories of your wedding day. I loved our time together and I was honored that you chose me 😊
