Joshua Tree. The high desert. Palm Springs. La Quinta. It’s all a photographer’s dream world! At least, it’s this photographer’s dream world! The dreamy light, the wide open space, the cacti – I would do just about anything to shoot out there every weekend! Everywhere you turn is something gorgeous. And the views go on and on for days! That whole area is incredible, and looks incredible on camera. When Evelyn and Ben decided to have their engagement shoot out there, I knew it would be the perfect background to highlight their sweet relationship.

I will never forget sitting in Starbucks and getting to know Evelyn and Ben. As they shared the story of how they met, he turned to her and reminisced on what he told his friends – “If I ever see that girl again, I’m going to marry her.” Sure enough, they reconnected and this time he wasn’t about to let her get away!

Every moment with these two is nothing but pure laughter and fun. It felt as though we had been friends forever as we explored Joshua Tree together. We got to explore so many beautiful spots as we drove into the park, and everything we saw was such a dream! My favorite part about our whole shoot was how easily he could make her laugh! Our time together was full of natural laughter and smiles together because she couldn’t help but giggle around him.

Evelyn and Ben, I’ve just totally fallen in love with you two and your relationship! You are so much fun, so passionate, and so comfortable together. You made my job way too easy! The spark that you two have is simply undeniable. I’ve so enjoyed getting to know you two and, is it February yet?? I can’t wait to be there with you for your big day!
