I walked in to Algebra 1 in sixth period on my first day of freshman year. There was a buzz of excitement and new beginnings in the air, even though we were entering math class. I found my seat, in the very first row. In walked Bethany, who found her seat next to me. We had never met, so I quickly introduced myself.
Since that was our last class of the day, and she had no other plans until choir practice that evening, I invited her to hang out at my house after school. Little did I know, that would be the start of an incredibly sweet friendship.
Bethany has always been such a shining light to the people around her, friends, family, and strangers alike. Uncompromising and faithful, she has one of the kindest personalities of anyone I know. She stood by me on my wedding day as I married the man of my dreams, and now I get to watch as she prepares to walk down the aisle and say “I do” to the man of her dreams.
I loved every minute of our shoot together, because it was full of laughter, catching up, and hearing about their plans and how Alexander popped the question. Downtown Pasadena is close to their hearts because they’ve spent so much time their together as they’ve been on their journey of dating and engagement.
One of the most memorable parts of our shoot together was Alexander’s love for dogs. He literally stopped to pet every single dog we walked past! One couple walking their dog even let the dog be in a couple pictures. I’ve never seen someone that excited around dogs, and I’ve also never seen as many cute dogs as we saw in Downtown Pasadena!
Bethany and Alexander, you are full of joy, creativity, love, and sincerity. Spending an afternoon with you was completely refreshing and life-giving. You’re a gift to the people around you and a beautiful example of a godly relationship. Thank you for allowing me to capture your love, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
