There wasn’t a dull moment in the Father of the Bride’s speech. He had people laughing, engaged, and entertained the entire time. He wrapped up the speech and folded his paper, about to head to his seat. The he stopped, and turned to the beautiful bride, glowing next to her new husband and finished “All I can say, is that if I could go back 15 years and do it all over again… I’d do it in a heartbeat.” He turned away as he wiped tears from his eyes. It was a moment full of emotion. The love you could feel in the room was tangible. It was a group of people who were so together, and so excited to celebrate with Erin and James.

The entire day was filled with precious moments that were so much fun to capture. One of my favorite of those moments happened during the reception. Dave (DiJital Engagement) had all the married couples jump on the dance floor for an anniversary dance. The dance floor was full! He gave them all a short time to dance before he began having the couples who were married for the shortest amount of time, leave the dance floor. Year by year, he asked couples to exit until the only couple left would be the one who was married the longest. 3 months, 3 years, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years. The numbers only grew higher and higher as the couples who remained on the dance giggled to each other. 20 years, 30 years, couples were still dancing the song away. When the song ended, we had gotten all the way up to 50 years, with multiple couples still on the dance floor! My eyes filled with tears seeing so many couples who had been in love and committed to each other for 50 and 60+ years.

Erin and James, you could not have planned a more beautiful day, or surrounded yourself with people who were more full of love and kindness. You two just glowed around each other, and I was so privileged to witness and capture the sweet love you two share for each other. Your ceremony and reception made up one of the most genuine, real, and beautiful weddings I have ever been part of. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for choosing me to be by your side photographing your most important day. It was one of the sweetest, and one I’ll never forget.
